Wednesdey with Wheeler - MDNA President Dan Wheeler on Weekend with the Pros

Jun 4, 2026 | Dan Wheeler

Dear MDNA Members,

Man, time is flying! I am sorry that I did not get a Wednesday with Wheeler out in May. With the Weekend With the Pros and traveling to last weekend’s Baseball game something had to give. I am just back from my trip east to attend the New York/New Jersey – New England Chapter event (Yankees vs. Sox) baseball game and what a great turn out it was. In fact, we sold out of our allotted tickets and had to ask for more. My hats off to Michael Lachant and Marc Mazzapupo for planning and executing yet another great chapter event. Our Chapters around the country and our Canadian and European chapters are really stepping up their events and I encourage all members to join in and participate.

Now I want to share my thoughts on this year’s WWTP.

On behalf of the MDNA Officer Team and the entire West Coast Chapter, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to each of you that attended the WWTP here in California.

The event was a tremendous success, and that success was made possible by your participation, enthusiasm, and commitment to our association. It was inspiring to see so many members and Premier Vendors young and not “soo” young, come together to share knowledge, exchange ideas, strengthen professional relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and vitality of our association.

The Hollywood Roosevelt provided an awesome home base for an outstanding WWTP that featured manufacturing and member tour stops, each filled with valuable educational opportunities, engaging discussions, and meaningful networking. The energy and camaraderie throughout the event reflected the strength of our MDNA community and the dedication of our members.

Our Premier Vendors were well represented in number and sponsorships. One PV, Alyssa Costlow, with Ascentium Capital sent this awesome note to Mark Robinson, “Ascentium Capital was proud to sponsor & participate as a Premier Vendor at MDNA’s Weekend with the Pros. The event was extremely well organized and thoughtfully executed, creating an engaging and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The programming, structure, and overall atmosphere encouraged meaningful interaction and collaboration throughout the weekend.

The event provided excellent networking opportunities, allowing us to connect with many members across the MDNA organization. We were able to establish new relationships, strengthen industry connections, and engage in valuable conversations with dealers and partners in an environment that felt both professional and welcoming.

Overall, Weekend with the Pros was a highly successful event that delivered strong value through education, connection, and community. Ascentium Capital greatly appreciates the opportunity to support MDNA and looks forward to continued collaboration and participation in future MDNA events.”

This people is why I love the direction that the MDNA is going. We will continue to encourage exciting and meaningful events both at the chapter level and national as well.

We look forward to building on the momentum of this successful WWTP and seeing you again at future MDNA events. Together, we continue to advance our association, support one another, and strengthen the used machinery industry.

Sincerely,
Dan Wheeler, MDNA President
