As the summer rolls in to fall, marking a new school year, we at Wheeler Machinery Sales say "see you later" to Garrett Wheeler, third generation machine salesman, as he heads back to college.

Garrett is a junior at University of Arizona and is studying business with the goal of one day taking the reins of Wheeler Machinery. While his dad, Dan Wheeler, had earned a degree in engineering, Garrett chose business, feeling that it would better build off his natural interest in sales and connecting with people. Even though his studies were the priority, Garrett was able to close a few deals remotely from Arizona his sophomore year. We look forward to his continued contribution to the team – but more so to him getting the most out of this exciting stage of his life out in Arizona.

We were also fortunate to have Ryan Han, a childhood friend of Garrett's, join us for a year, learning the ropes of sales, machines, and customer service. Ryan has since begun attending Biola University to study business and play college baseball. We feel confident that his hands-on experience with Wheeler Machinery Sales will add practical insight to his business courses. Plus, we can't wait to see what he can accomplish on the baseball field.

While serving as MDNA President, one of Dan's goals is to invest in the next generation, bringing them into machine sales and supporting them in manufacturing. Dan has taken a step by having both Garret and Ryan represent Wheeler Machinery Sales at MDNA's West Coast Chapter Prado Skeet Shooting Competition where they could network with other MDNA members and see the importance of industry connections in the business world.

We couldn't be prouder of these two young men as they grow and learn in and outside of the classroom.
